UNLEASH THE BEAST.

This PADELJUNKIE can’t help but quietly giggle in delight when looking back on the weekend’s event. Fortunately, for me, I was invited to yet another Studio Padel tournament and to keep things short, I’ll just share the highlights:

  • Enjoying the Spring weather in the cozy city of Norrköping.
  • Hanging with dynamic duo and good friends Emmie Ekdahl and Dani Dios. Bonus: watching Dani’s comeback matches together with John Larsson.
  • Experiencing upcoming talent - Linnea Skymberg - in the grind against 99% our shots.
  • Feeling the in-your-face attitude and amazingly magic hands of Aranza Osoro. No wonder she is ranked 16 in the world!
  • Unleashing my inner beast almost like during my first World Championships in 2014 where we all bumped fists until they were bruised silly.
  • Seeing the rest of Team Padel Center win their matches and most importantly those tickets to Marbella #gottalovethefourmusketeers.
  • Playing in one of the coolest cages I have ever been in - Värmekyrkan Padel.
  • Having flashbacks to my college tennis days - especially certain away-matches when the home team’s cheering squad was “passionate” about winning the match from the sidelines - a little like, as Johan Håkansson referred to, “the Lindköping Hooligans” did on Saturday. It made for some good dramatic entertainment I’m sure.
  • Getting a little hang-time with the Studio Padel crew which is always a pleasure since they’re a bunch of humble, hard-working and fun-loving guys. Too bad I missed the chance by one game to do so in Marbella… #ouch

Despite the loss, I have to admit it was yet another fun padel weekend but then again it’s not hard to have fun at these things when you’re a PADELJUNKIE. Next up is SPT Klövern Mölndal that will be held in my hometown Gothenburg. So, soon it’s time to get geared up again and hopefully I’ll get the chance to unleash the beast again.
